Television superstar and now cookbook author, G. Garvin jammed on into the corporate world
headquarters of Tyson Foods (NYSE: TSN) on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 to heat up the
world-class Tyson Discovery Center with a few of his select, delectable and oh so tasty
signature dishes. The energetic culinary chef is arguably one of the most dynamic,
entertaining and soulful television chefs around. When the opportunity presented itself, I
jumped at the chance to meet the host of TV One's, "Turn up the Heat with G.
Garvin."
Garvin is a super real, down-to-earth, down-home, guy-next-door type culinary expert. His
style and presentation captivated the estimated 150 or so Tyson team members with a quick
and simple preparation approach to some of his very good dishes. I can't remember the last

| book (if I have ever purchased a one), but after seeing Chef Garvin in
action at the Tyson Discovery Center, I made a cook book purchase; now, I hope it helps me
improve my cooking. Garvin is a man who knows his craft and knows it well. He kept it real
at Tyson the entire time. He made cooking seem like fun and not unlike a great artist
creating a masterpiece; Chef Garvin's final food preparations were always as attractive to
the naked eye as they ultimately were to the inner taste buds. We got to sample portions
of the dishes prepared during the presentation. |

love it." After seeing a few of Garvin's television cooking shows, meeting him in
person and witnessing his down-home action in the kitchen, I think that his mother taught
him well and surely his new cook book titled ... |
