These remarks from our governor were met with strong audience support and
applause. The governor then brought the clean and distinguished group of movers and
shakers to their feet with another earth moving statement that fifty years ago the
governor tried to keep them out of school, tonight the governor is letting them into
school. |

Ernest Green, first black graduate of Little Rock Central High School, and member of the
distinct and special class known only as the Little Rock Nine, then took the stage and
accepted the award on behalf of the Little Rock Nine inductees. He said, We are
deeply honored to receive this award and we look forward to seeing changes not only
throughout Little Rock but the country as well. |

Mark Jones, comedian/Radio Host, then presented Sheryl Underwoods inductee award.
The remaining presentation was delivered by Reverend Larry Ross, Presiding Elder Christian
Episcopal Church. The award was posthumously presented to John Stubblefield. Accepting the

close with a musical performance from the soul. |

Birth is in the natural order of the divine plan of life and death is the universal
hallmark by which every being and form of matter must take. Triumph, disaster, fortune,
and failure are what can be experienced during your lifes journey. But the lives of
the highly accomplished, driven, and insightful are what determine the presence of
next-level recognition or simple passing. |

The Arkansas Black Hall of Fame annual induction ceremony is more than just your typical
social function. Its a place where History and Heritage can be preserved. The event
provides one segment of our community with an annual opportunity to salute, recognize and
honor the accomplishments of a select few. |

| It is a place where ones life and lifes work can be purveyed
for generations to come. Most importantly its a social institution created to
continue spreading good, opportunity, and knowledge through the Arkansas Black Hall of
Fame Foundation. |

|
| Have Hope. Dream Determination. Achieve Ambition. Will. Salute the
heroes and heroines in your mist by inducting them into your personal Hall of Fame!
