| ...governorship position was as Arkansas 51st Attorney General. Then
Attorney General Beebe focused on protecting the interest of consumers, watching over the
states seniors, protecting children from internet predators as well as
working to keep criminals behind bars. Under the direction, guidance and leadership of
Beebe, the office of Attorney General managed to prevent utilities from implementing rate
increases of over $100 million, ensured that convicted criminals remained behind bars by
representing the citizens of Arkansas at the appellate level while also causing millions
flow to victims of crime. |

Good sound economic plans and a clear focused fiscal agenda for the state seem to be what
Governor Beebe is driven to do. His campaign for Governor hinged on several ways to save
the people of Arkansas money, primarily a reduction in the states sales tax on groceries.

During our interview as well as outlined in his January 2007 State of the State
Address, Governor Beebe announced a number of dynamic and interesting initiatives
headed for the state under his administration. At our taped televised interview,
(broadcast statewide on KNWA-TV (NBC), KARK-TV (NBC) and KFTA-TV (FOX) back in May of this
year) the governor told me that there were plans for an Arkansas teacher pay increase and
over all improvements for all of the states school systems and infrastructure. |

With respect to how Arkansas is viewed by many around the nation and world, he says that
Arkansas has a lot to offer and that he would actively use his office to dispel some of
the negative perceptions about our state. Governor Beebe said, A common
misconception is that folks in Arkansas werent properly educated, not in |
|
|
|
| the main stream as far as economic opportunity and development and some
people even thought of us as a backwards state. Governor Beebe stated that people
are usually pleasantly surprised when they come here and see for themselves
all that Arkansas has to offer. |

|
We should not rely on people to come here and figure out that we are making
significant progress, said Governor Beebe. We should be proactive in trying to
tell the world about the values and opportunities that exist in our state. The
